Rock Lee: When you want to learn a person's name, you introduce yourself first right? My name is Rock Lee.

Rock Lee (to Sasuke): I want to fight you. I want to test my techniques against the offspring of the genius ninja clan.

Sasuke (to Lee): Challenging me knowing the uchiha name! Frankly you're a fool. You're about to learn what this name means, thick brows.

Rock Lee (to Sasuke): Yes my techniques are simple taijutsu Sasuke kun. You may not believe it because it is so basic but they say the sharingan has the ability to revel all types of nin, gen and tai-jutsu. It is true that by reading ninjutsu and genjutsu which need chakra to be raised and seals to be performed, you get an advantage through the sharingan, but taijutsu is a little different. Even if you can read my movements with your eyes, your body does not have the speed to react to my taijutsu. Basically, even if you can see it, but your body can't move, then it's useless.

Rock Lee (to Sasuke): Do you know this? Among strong people, exists genius types and hard-working types. If your sharingan is a genius type from the uchiha blood, then I am simply a hard-working type who has mastered only taijutsu.

Naruto (Thinking and shaking his head): I don't understand what's going on but I will just act like I do.

Naruto (In chuunin exam hall): My name is Uzumaki Naruto. I won't lose to you bastards!!

Sakura (about Naruto): He's too stupid to get down.

Shikamaru (after what Naruto just said in the chuunin exam hall): You won't lose to those bastards? Big Words; Show off! What a moron. He just turned everyone into his enemy.

Morino Ibiki: Thanks for waiting. I am Morino Ibiki, the examiner for the chuunin selection exam's first test.

Naruto (screaming): What??? A paper test???

Sakura (thinking): This is the worst possible test for Naruto. He's depressed.

Naruto (After hearing the rules for the written test): Heheh this is nothing. I've survived through dangerous situations numerous times. I can't fail here. In times like this you just have to calm down, relax. Calmly look over each question, find one you can answer and focus your mind on it.

Naruto (thinking): Relax. I just have to calmly . . . calmly cheat in a way where I won't get caught.

Sasuke (realizing): So what the examiner meant was that if you were going to cheat, don't do it pathetically, but like a proud ninja and don't get caught.

Asuma Sarutobi: Kurenai, you're a new jounin so you probably don't know, He is a pro, a pro at torture and interrogation. Leaf assassination squad, torture and interrogation captain; special jounin, Morino Ibiki. Well there may not be physical torture while taking a test but they must be experiencing mental suffering brought on by his interrogation skills.

Morino Ibiki: First for this 10th question you must decide whether you will take it or not. If you choose not to, your point will be reduced to zero and you'll fail along with your team-mates. And the other rule is that if you choose to take it and answer incorrectly, that person will lose the right to ever take the chuunin selection exam again.

Morino Ibiki: You guys were unlucky. This year it's my rules.

Asuma Sarutobi: Ibiki knows the human mind completely, that's what makes him scary. By attacking their mind, he can control over their spirit. The person's weakness all float to the surface. You can't escape his interrogation.

Naruto : Don't underestimate me, I will not run. I'll take it even if I am a genin forever. I will myself become a Hokage anyway, so I don't care. I am not afraid.

Naruto: I will follow my unbending words, that's my ninja way.

Morino Ibiki (thinking about Naruto): Interesting kid, he blasted away everyone's worries.

Morino Ibiki: In times, information is more important than life and on missions and the battlefield, people risk their lives to get their hand on. If the enemy or 3rd person notices you, there is no guarantee that the information will be accurate.

Morino Ibiki: Important information in your hands can be a powerful weapon for your comrades and for the village.

Morino Ibiki: Let me explain the 10th question. The 'take it' or 'not take it' decision. Obviously these were painful choices. Those who choose later fail along with their team-mates. Those who choose to take it could lose the chance to ever take the test again . . . a true leap of faith. How about these two choices, say you guys become chuunin's. Your mission is to steal a secret document. The amount of ninjas, their abilities etc is unknown to you and of course there could be traps set all around you. Now. Do you accept or not? Because you don't want to die, because your comrades can be hurt . . . can you avoid the dangerous mission? The answer is no!

Morino Ibiki: No matter what the danger, there are missions you can't avoid. The ability to be courageous and survive any hardship . . . this is an ability needed to become a chuunin captain.

Morino Ibiki: Those who can't put their destinies on the line, who cling to the uncertain future of 'there's always next year' and then walk away from their chance; those piece of trash who can only make such cowardly choices don't have the right to become a chuunin, that's how I feel.

Morino Ibiki: Huh! There's a guy who got through here with a blank answer paper? Uzumaki Naruto huh! A very interesting guy (smiling).

Kiba: Yahoo, survival is our speciality.

Shikamaru: Risking our lives? This sucks but we'll have to do it. Let's go after Naruto.

Kankuro (talking about Gaara): Of course there are other teams (in the jungle) but i'm afraid of being with him for five days.
